Concentration

I now bring to you my AP Studio Art 2006 Concentration! A 'concentration' is a collection of twelve pieces all within the limits of a certain theme. My theme is dividing faces in half-- 50% realistic, and the other 50% is dedicated to something or a collection of stuff that represents the person being drawn.

Black and White

Here's my first piece of art for my Concentration: combining faces 50% real with 50% something that represents them! Graphite and Ink.

A combo of a friend and a Geisha. Ink was painted on and the rest's in pencil.

Ninja Boy!! This was drawn on black paper with gray Prismacolor pencils.

Piano Man! Same materials as Ninja Boy; this kid's into singing and playing the piano.

Oil Pastels

Mister Muscle! He had a very thoughtful and peaceful look, and I thought that doing the muscle system fit this well.

Superhero dude-- he's wild and crazy and loud... And one picture of him just shouted out "superhero!" to me, so that's where the theme came from!

She wanted to be drawn half-tiger; actually she's always wanted to be drawn! This was interesting to make because the facial anatomy of the tiger is so different from a human face.

Very much into drama, so I combined her with the comedy side of a drama mask.

Prismacolor

My art class 'art pal'. An amazing painter-- I wish I had a link to some of his stuff! He's also into skating and peace signs and such.

Surf, skate, swim! Annnd guitar. And bonfires, goofiness, silly sculptures and all kindsa other crazy things!

She's fun, talented, and very computery! She's into Macs, and... well I made her cross-platform with a Microsoft mouse.
Check out her website, Blondegeek!

He's into movies, acting, script-writing and making films. Lights, camera, ACTION!
