Yes, I always parent my cameras to a null object for any sort of camera movement. But I never used actual footage to move the null as seen in the tutorial; it was all by hand.

Thanks! Actually this is a reel of all my different animation styles– the range is from traditional hand-drawn on paper, hand-drawn in Flash, compositing and digital animation in After Effects.
