Sketches

Here's a collection of all the pencil (graphite) works I have made.

Portraits

Chinese Alien! My first rendering piece.

Assignment for Head Drawing: Draw a face looking directly at it. Found this in a fashion magazine.

Assignment for Head Drawing, had to draw a face from 3/4 view; reference from W Magazine.

Besides the "Launch" button on this website, this is my first realistic sketch. It's a girl out of a W Magazine. I thought it was a cool picture, so I drew it, and was quite pleased with the results!

Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure! That's one of my favorite movies, and I had the DVD on my bed one night so I thought I'd draw it. Took me about two hours, but I got kind of bored with it.

This took me about five hours. She's another W Magazine model, and I thought it was a really cool picture, so like the first, I drew it, but took forever doing so this time!

I was bored of reading one day and needed a drawing break, so here's another W Magazine model. She turned out excellent, and I really like the eye.

An assignment for art class. It's my first piece with a sketch and wash pencil.

Needed to put hours into my sketchbook. [source]

Needed more than the half hour I put into my sketchbook... Added two more hours with this. [source]

Why not complete a whole series of a person when you're putting in hours in a sketchbook? Really-- this is the last one! [source]

Skimming through W Magazine one day, hand ready to draw and eye seeking a good pic to draw, I found this one of Natalie Portman. I made it mostly during History class, I belive.

Lou Taylor Pucci's an up and coming actor, and I liked this picture a lot, so I thought that I would draw it. Oh, the detail! [source]

Full-body drawings

Figure study for art class; the lined shadows are there because he was standing in front of a window!

Animals

Mom found this great pic of two twin baby platypusses in the newspaper and it was so cute that I just had to draw it.

Life Drawing

We had to draw our eyes for art class by looking in a mirror. My mirror was round and distorted but you can't tell... I had the best seat in the house for refelctions, though.

Inventions

I had the urge to use all shades of my pencils once night, and so I made up this boy. I like how his eyes turned out.

My big perspective project! AKA masterpiece. Had to take a pic of this one, scan it in and stuff because it was too big to scan. Actually, I tried scanning, but... It's verrrry random.

"Transition"
Perspective fantasy project-- I'm sooooooo happy with the turnout!! Definitely one of my best works!

Cartoon Portraits

YARRRR ME MATEY! I made this mainly in airplanes and in airports while coming home from a trip. Blame Belize for the influence, and the fact that I'd always wanted to draw a full-detail pirate portrait. arr!

After drawing the first sketch from the Models/Pictures category, I had an idea in my mind for some cool clothing, so I made up this character to go with the clothing.

Prince!!!! I drew some really pretty anime-inspired eyes in another drawing book, and I thought I'd draw a whole face to them in another drawing book, and this was the result! I meant for it to be a prince, but it looked kinda girly... So I took a poll, and it was favored as a guy.

One of my friends drew a really pretty anime picture in a highly short amount of time, hence inspiring me. Well, it turned out pretty good, but it took forever! I'll stick to Tahnime for now...

Bandit! I was reading my history book in class and there was a picture that had a bunch of people, but one guy looked like a bandit, and I thought a bandit would be a fun type of person to draw.

I went on a drawing spree one day and made up this character, Chlorie. I thought she was a wicked cool character, so I did a big head shot of her here.

For those of you who read Springton Street (my online comic), here's Spencer with a moon and streaked darkness background. I thought I'd try drawing from a different perspective with lots of details..

Full-Body Cartoons

Prince of Charming! When we were doing the STAR tests, I had lots of left-over time to draw with, so I started him and by the end of the day, he was finished.

My friend said Prince of Charming needed a princess, so here's Princess of Pretty. She took about two days to draw, mainly because I didn't know what to do with her dress on the first day.

Friends

Joshuzzah! Drew most of this on a couple of airplane flights.

Had a great pic of him in the yearbook and had been meaning to draw him for a while, so here's what I did on a finals day when I had no final in my class!

I have quite a few pics of my friends, and so I thought I would draw them all. I'll have to redo this one though... Make it look better.

This is the first picture that I drew of any of my friends. The picture was small, so the drawing was small, but the scan made it big, so it's all good!

My Pyro Pal! Awesomeness! Let's go blow things up in microwaves!!!

Had some more time on my hands during a finals day, so I drew this pic from my yearbook.

Had more pictures of friends, so I drew them.

Still had even more pictures, draw draw draw...

Sing! Sing! Sing!

Chemistry = boring. Drawing = fun.

...And another picture that I had to draw!
